Haroon Akhtar is a Presidential Award holder and a reknowned tech community builder, having over 18 years of experience in crafting high-performing teams (as a HR leader) for cutting-edge products and services in Gaming, Cyber Security, Blockchain, eCommerce and Mobile Apps. Currently initiated a Talent management network called TalentX which is in ideation phase. Also, engaged in multiple consultancies to help companies for building high performance tech teams from C-level till associate level.

Historically, He was accountable to hire, groom and manage top talent across the globe in establishing mobile games and application’s industry (Gameview Studios) and Cyber Security (Ebryx) industry based from Pakistan. Also, he helped OZI group (having team of 22 HRs and recruiters) to strategize and build their Center of Excellence for group CEO. He is also the man behind providing top notch talent to FireEye Inc (NASDAC based company) for its global offices, as part of Ebryx Pvt Ltd. He also hire and manage teams for DeNA-Japan, ZETA, HAVEN, Coca Cola International, Grant Thornton, ELM-KSA and other global organizations.

Few of the notable projects where he directly contributed were: nexTier (A project of nexTier Networks, USA), xView Converter (Product of CambridgeDocs, USA), Confectionary (A Project of MIT Media Library, USA), SCRATCH (A Product of MIT Multi Media Lab, USA), World Bank funded LRMIS project and xDoc Professional (Product of CambridgeDocs, USA).

Beyond the boardroom, He is the co-founder of HR Knowledge Cafe (HKC), a platform dedicated to empowering Tech community through their rigorous capacity building, advocate diversity in all walks of life and also support women empowerment as integral part of society. In recognition of these efforts, He received Presidential award by president (Dr. Alvi) of Pakistan. After its huge success in Pakistan we are planning to take it to UAE and KSA market within 2025.

As a front face of various organizations, He had attended Gitex and GISEC in UAE, ITU World Telecom in Bangkok, Asia Tech Vision Summit in Singapore, ITCN Asia in Pakistan and many other events who had a strong global footprint in the Tech community. As a cross culture experience, He got a chance to work with teams in USA, Japan, UAE, KSA, Australia, India, Malysia and Singapore. Also, conduct hundreds of grooming and awareness sessions at almost all top notch institutions of Pakistan for faculties and students. He recently selected to attend the BEST DIPLOMAT program 2024 in UAE to represent his country. He is also part of “Industry Advisory Boards” of multiple universities here in Pakistan to play my role in the nurturing and grooming of tech talent from grass root level.
